Sharlene hails from Toronto, Canada where she combined her passion for sport and interest in human biomechanics to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at McMaster University.

Since moving to Australia, Sharlene has completed her Masters in Physiotherapy. Sharlene has also completed the post graduate training in spinal conditions, dry needling, Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) and the GLA:D knee and hip rehabilitation programme.

Sharlene has worked internationally in multiple clinical settings and is adept at treating clients from all backgrounds inclusive of complex trauma patients, competitive sporting athletes, children and adolescents, headache, TMJ, tinnitus, hyperacusis and acoustic shock disorder patients, and antenatal and postnatal women. Sharlene has been involved in treating Australian Football Rules’ injuries. and currently is a consultant Physiotherapist for the South Melbourne National Premier League Women’s soccer team.

Sharlene is passionate about restorative health and optimising client function and helped to set up the Backtolife™️  biomechanical back and neck rehabilitation programme and the Tinnitus and TMJ rehabilitation programme.

Sharlene provides Cold Laser therapy after successfully completed the Thor™️ Laser certification in low level laser therapy (LLTT). She also provides dry needling for patients with acute and ongoing musculoskeletal conditions in conjunction with a tailor-made rehabilitation programme to enhance their recovery from pain and trauma.

Sharlene has assisted Dr Peter Selvaratnam at the LaTrobe University Master’s programme on Headache, TMJ and orofacial conditions and medico-legal work.

Outside of work, Sharlene enjoys exploring Melbourne’s food and music scene as well as playing touch rugby.
